The MBS.ECO was developed by NHS Máquinas to speed up the initial stage of washing and sanitizing various types of vegetables and produce. It is entirely manufactured in certified AISI 304 stainless steel and facilitates the sorting and initial washing of food products. In addition, it ensures the proper immersion time of the products in a solution that helps remove insects, slugs, and caterpillars present in fruits, vegetables, and especially whole leafy greens.
The MBS.ECO is designed to optimize the vegetable washing process, beginning with the introduction of the products at the rear of the washing tank. Once immersed, the vegetables are gently propelled forward by water jets, ensuring continuous movement.
The equipment features four strategically positioned showers — two on each side — allowing for manual washing of leaves and vegetables. An air bubbling system complements the cleaning process, helping to loosen impurities and residues adhered to the surfaces of the vegetables.
After this stage, the products are manually transferred to the central conveyor belt, which carries them to the next phase of the sanitization process.
